Honey Drop Beverage
by Christopher Flynn — Tuesday, October 20, 2009
At Whole Foods the other day there was a merchant giving out samples of a new drink, honey drop (warning, link contains music & sound). What caught my attention was that it was sweetened with Honey, no other sugar, not even any corn syrup. (Which my son is allergic to) So I was glad to be able to offer him a sample which he usually has to pass by. He loved it, throwing a fit when it was gone. My daughter loved it as well. What did I think? Well it wasn't too sweet, wasn't quite a tea and certainly healthier than most flavored drinks out there and it's only 80 calories per 16.9 oz. bottle.
I walked out with 4 bottles, 2 Bee Good (Apple) and 2 Bee Calm (Chamomile) and plan to get a case next time I'm back. I was not a fan of the Bee Alive (Blood Orange) and did not try the Bee Strong (Blueberry) but the other two were excellent. I think my favorite is the Bee Calm. From what I understand it's not available outside of the NY, NJ & CT areas but if you are at a whole foods in one of those states, definitely look for it.
Disclaimer: I get absolutely noting if you buy it, nor has anyone given me anything to write about it, I just really like it and would like to see them do well.
